Operation Equip India (OEI) is an organisation dedicated to equipping India's persons with disability with the physical, educational and socio-economic tools necessary for a life of independence and advancement.
OEI views handicraft production as an ideal means to help persons with disabilities supplement their incomes and provide for themselves. Once the skill is learned, the handicrafts can be made at home. The various stitches and designs are appealing to customers, both locally and abroad.
MESH has not started stocking their products but we have begun to share Fair Trade facts with them and they were represented at MESH's Annual Network Meeting.
